Stone Hall (formally Old Quincy House) is a 58,000 sf Neo-Georgian student residence built in 1930 with a brick exterior and slate roof. Dimeo was retained by Harvard University for Preconstruction Services, including performing extensive investigations and documenting the building’s fabric, structure, and integrity over two summers before construction began. Dimeo comprehensively renovated the four-story hall, achieving LEED Platinum certification. Scope included window & slate roof replacements, masonry restorations, reconfiguration of interior spaces, and new mechanical and electrical systems and finishes.
