Deaerator/Surge Tank Replacement // Worcester, MA Size: 6,200 sf // Architect: SLAM UMASS Memorial​

UMass Memorial Medical Center is moving forward with a phased deaerator and surge tank replacement project at the Boiler Plant on its Memorial Campus in Worcester, Massachusetts. The work includes demolition of the existing Control Room, installing a new housekeeping pad, and placing a new deaerator/surge tank in the former Control Room location. Once the new equipment is installed, commissioned, and fully operational, the existing deaerator/surge tank will be removed. Additional scope includes renovating an existing office to serve as the new Control Room and constructing a new Operations Room at the former deaerator/surge tank site. All required boilers will remain operational throughout construction.
