Dimeo Construction Company was selected to partner with Ancora Partners, GRE, and HOK Architects on the Rhode Island State Health Lab in downtown Providence, RI. The 212,000-square foot, nine-story core and shell development will house the state’s new 80,000-square-foot health lab, state-of-the-art life sciences labs, and additional biotechnology space. The project includes shelled spaces ready to accommodate an additional 80,000 square feet of future state-of-the-art lab tenants. A sizeable BSL-3 laboratory is a signature feature of the core project. The building will include a two-story fully enclosed mechanical penthouse and ground-level mechanical equipment. The project will pursue LEED Gold certification.
