The 85,000-square-foot Prior Performing Arts Center at The College of the Holy Cross, designed by renowned firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, is a versatile space for artistic exploration and community engagement. At its heart, “The Beehive” is a multi-story lobby featuring flexible workspaces, the O’Connor Family Café, and balcony areas that promote collaboration. The center offers two main performance venues: the 400-seat Luth Concert Hall, an adaptable proscenium theater for music, theater, and dance, and the 200-seat Boroughs Theatre, a flexible black box space. Supporting creative pursuits, the center includes the Booth Media Lab, the Cantor Art Gallery, the Alden Trust Performance Studio, and outdoor spaces like the Patterson Amphitheatre and Marlon Courtyard.
