The Gateway Community College project consolidated many programs previously housed on the Long Wharf and New Haven Campuses at a new location in downtown New Haven. The project included two structures built on two city blocks at a major entrance to the city, connected by a bridge over George Street. The new four-story, 571,000 sf building includes 90 general-purpose classrooms, 22 computer labs, a library, a cafeteria, a bookstore, a culinary arts center, an art gallery, Allied Health Department, and administrative offices. In addition, Dimeo built a new 600 car pre-cast garage.
