Dimeo Construction Company recently completed the Vertex Carolina Avenue Expansion project in Providence, Rhode Island. The facility was expanded to enable the manufacture of a Clinical Prototype Device for the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes for testing and FDA review and approval. The two-phase project included an initial phase to create a new 13,500 sf of new Clinical Manufacturing Clean Space for cell and gene therapy, including architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure upgrades. The second phase was an occupied renovation of the existing 4,400 sf of research and development space.
