WESTOVER SCHOOL New Athletic Field House // Middlebury, CT Size: 34,000 sf // Architect: Graham Gund Architects

Dimeo constructed the Fuller Athletic Center during a 12 month schedule. The Center Houses a gymnasium, fitness center, squash pavilion, multi-purpose room and equipment storage areas. It is home to offices for the Athletic Director and Trainers in addition to locker rooms for students, faculty and visiting teams.

ST GEORGE’S SCHOOL

Fine Arts Center Expansion and Renovation // Newport, RI Size: 42,230 sf // Architect: Sasaki Associates, Inc.

This 42,230 sf project was designed to create a campus center in a space that originally housed the school gymnasium and locker facilities. The new renovated and expanded building offers a formal exhibit gallery; a theater; dressing rooms; classrooms for drawing, painting, graphic arts and photogra- phy; music rooms; shop welding; and woodworking.

Middle School Addition // Providence, RI Size: 18,260 sf // Architect: Rhinebeck Architecture & Planning PC MOSES BROWN SCHOOL Dimeo constructed an addition and renovated the west wing of the existing 4-sto- ry middle school originally constructed circa 1819. The Ross House, is a 2-story, steel framed structure with historical details to match the existing building. The new structure houses science, computer and language classrooms. Site work encompassed utilities for the addition, which included an emergency generator, transformer, fire protection and domestic water, drainage and sewer systems. Exposed aggregate walkways, new site lighting, and landscaping around the ad- dition rounded out site improvements.

The new Visual and Performing Arts Center for WCSU will house two primary teaching / performance spaces; a 350-seat Concert Hall; and a 350-seat Pro- scenium Theater, as well as multiple technical production and rehearsal spaces required to support these venues. Visual & Performing Arts Center // Danbury, CT Size: 123,000 sf // Architect: Amenta Emma Architects WESTERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY

Over the past nine years, Dimeo has put in place over 2,350 residential beds on the University of Massachusetts campus in Amherst. This LEED Silver project consisted of a mix of unit types including approximately 600 beds of singles and doubles and 900 beds in suites and apartments. The project included associated residential common spaces such as floor lounges and laundry facilities to com- plement the residential experience. In addition, the facility’s program included nine (9) classrooms and a large multi-purpose room for Honors College academic use, as well as approximately 9,000 sf of the Commonwealth Honors College student support space. Commonwealth Honors Residences // Amherst, MA Size: 524,000 sf // Architect: William Rawn Architects UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS AMHERST

STEM Research Center Science One Building // Storrs, CT Size: 180,000 sf // Architect: Payette Architects UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT

Dimeo Construction Company was recently selected as construction manager for the University’s new STEM Research Center, as part of the Northwest Science Quad District. This new campus district will house the expansion of UCONN’s re- search enterprise in a distinct campus quadrangle. It will be designed to meet both the current and future programmatic requirements of the University as it seeks to balance the anticipated rise in student enrollment in STEM programs with future research needs. The building program includes research, teaching, administrative, a clean room, a series of material science-specific core labs, a 300-seat auditori- um and support spaces.

College of Engineering // Kingston, RI Size: 186,000 sf // Architect: Ballinger Architects UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND

The new 186,000 “H”-shaped facility, which includes a walk-out lower level, 6-story bridge structure and 2 - 4 story office wings, replaces five separate build- ings built in the 1950 and 60’s. The first floor, located on the Quad level, has a large south-facing commons and computer lab, and features a clear span com- mons area with café, with no columns, as part of the bridge structure. The first floor also features a combination of instructional labs and interactive classrooms opening up to student interaction spaces. The upper floors comprise flexible, modular labs near the faculty offices and graduate student workstations. The project was designed to meet LEED Silver standards.

Science Building // New Haven, CT Size: 280,000 sf // Architect: Stantec YALE UNIVERSITY

The Yale Science Building is a new seven-level structure which includes a rooftop greenhouse, aquatics & insect labs, state-of-the-art imaging technology, quantitative biology center, innovative physics labs, and a 500-seat lecture hall. The structure is home to labs, classrooms, and research support spaces dedicated to understand- ing the evolution of plants, disease vectors of insects, and atomic, molecular, and optical physics. A primary goal of the project was to eliminate disciplinary silos and encourage collaboration across specialized scientific platforms. Project planning occurred over a 21 month timeline, from design concepts through GMP, including multiple design iterations, environmental impact studies and geometric revisions.

John J. Bowen Center for Science and Technology // Providence, RI Size: 73,000 sf // Architect: Edward Rowse Architects JOHNSON & WALES

The new 73,000sf, three-story, LEED Gold rating, building serves as home to JWU’s School of Engineering & Design and the College of Arts & Science’s new biology program. The building will house the Alan Shawn Feinstein Technology & Design Center, biology labs that support physics, chemistry, organic chemistry and micro- biology, faculty offices and an outdoor courtyard designed to support collaborative learning.

The recently completed buildings will house over 600 students and include a fit- ness center, dance studio, library, dining halls, Head of College residences, and var- iously-sized courtyards, black box theater. With 70,000 custom-shaped bricks, 436 custom stone ornaments, 600+ stone profiles, and more than 1.8 million bricks, the new residential colleges was one of the most complex and demanding masonry projects presently under construction in the United States. Leverett McKinlock Hall // Cambridge, MA Size: 98,000 sf // Architect: Kieran Timberlake HARVARD UNIVERSITY

Dimeo Construction Company completed the 98,000 sf Leverett-McKinlock Hall project designed by Kieran Timberlake. McKinlock Hall is five stories above a lower level at the central block and four stories on each wing above full height lower levels. The building includes a Master’s House adjacent to the Dining An- nex. Interior finishes included wood, tile and stone flooring, plaster walls & ceil- ings, painted wood running trim, base trim, and casings. Project acquired LEED Silver status.

HARVARD UNIVERSITY

Stone Hall // Cambridge, MA Size: 58,000 sf // Architect: Kieran Timberlake

The comprehensive renovation to the 58,000 sf, four story hall included win- dow & slate roof replacements, masonry restorations, reconfiguration of inte- rior spaces, new mechanical and electrical systems and finishes throughout. Within the Hall are 180 beds and the building preserves the historic charac- ter and culture while also nurturing communities through the connection of spaces. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.

Trumbull College Renovations // New Haven, CT Size: 118,000 sf // Architect: Goody Clancy & Associates YALE UNIVERSITY

Dimeo completed renovations to the historic building, which consists of several interconnected structures ranging from three to five stories high, was built in 1929 and received a complete interior and exterior restoration. The exterior granite and limestone façade were cleaned and replaced as necessary, new windows and a new slate and membrane roof was installed. The interior of the building was brought up to current ADA standards, with new interior finishes, and a complete modern- ization of the existing mechanical, plumbing and electrical system. In addition, Dimeo created a new basement level within the courtyard

Grace Hopper College Renovation // New Haven, CT Size: 130,000 sf // Architect: Herbert S. Newman & Partners PC YALE UNIVERSITY

Dimeo was selected by Yale to restore the Grace Hopper College Residential Hall. Grace Hopper is composed of interconnected three and four story buildings constructed in 1932. The historic renovation included replacing existing MEP systems; installing new systems; replacing the slate roof; masonry repair; interior finishes; a new basement space under the existing courtyard and improvements to site accessibility, drainage, and landscaping. The project provided improve- ments to facilities for students, administration, and operations.
