Dimeo constructed an 18,260 sf addition and renovated the west wing of the existing 4-story middle school initially constructed circa 1819. The addition, Ross House, is a 2-story, steel-framed structure with historical details that match the existing building. The new structure houses science, computer, and language classrooms. The ground floor of the existing West Wing was renovated to provide space for music (choral and instrumental) and drama, plus increased mechanical space. Site work encompassed the addition’s utilities, including an emergency generator, transformer, fire protection, and domestic water, drainage, and sewer systems. Exposed aggregate walkways, new site lighting, and landscaping around the addition rounded out site improvements.
